The Holy City of Medina will soon have a state-of-the-art museum Quran with impressive facilities, said Prince Sultan bin Salman, President of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA). "This is the first of its kind in the world," the prince said. He said the project dubbed the "Oasis of the Holy Quran" would be established in cooperation with the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, the governorate of Madinah and other departments. The SCTA has recently received a precious gift from Abdul Maqsood Khoja, a Saudi businessman based in Jeddah, representing nine priceless manuscripts dating back more than five centuries. They are precisely 511 years old. Prince Sultan has given instructions that these books and manuscripts to be displayed in a museum attached with the donor's name objects in recognition of his / her role and efforts in the preservation of national heritage.
