Fatimah Al-Rashoud- First Woman Leader Holy Mosques Presidency
Makkah: Fatimah Al-Rashoud became the first woman to hold a leading position in the General Presidency of the Two Holy mosques, Makkah Daily. Due to the increasing need for women leaders in organizations of the Kingdom and the role of active women play in the development of the Two Holy Mosques, the organization's president Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Sudais Al-Rashoud appointed as head of steering committee of women and supervisor of the women's section of the Great Mosque library. Last year, Al-Sudais Al-Rashoud appointed as vice-chair. He believed that women are more qualified to give advice and guidance to other religious than men. "They are aware of their own needs and circumstances. The Presidency also appointed several women qualified religious teachers who give lectures and discussion circles in the mosque, "he said. Al-Rashoud said the occasion was motivated to be more dedicated to her work and confident about his work.
