Christians, Jews, Muslims Maintain Peace March in London
London Christians, Jews and Muslims from all walks of British life made a pilgrimage through the center of London last fortnight, in a show of unity against the hatred that led the recent attacks in France and Denmark. More than 100 people, including religious leaders, children and pensioners marched in the rain to the main mosque in London in Regent Park in the central synagogue and then through the bustling crowd of Soho in Westminster Abbey . At each location, they gathered for a moment of reflection, variously led by the local imam, rabbi and priest to celebrate their values and common hopes for peace. "The terrorists hope to divide us, but these atrocities unite us," Sheikh Khalifa Ezzat, the chief imam at London Central Mosque, said.
