Billboard campaign in Florida clears misconceptions about Islam
Jacksonville: Presenting the true message of Islam, a new poster campaign was launched in the most populous city in Florida to Jacksonville, of correct misconceptions surrounding faith and provide reliable answers to those seeking more information about Islam. Launched by the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), the national campaign erected three Islamic signs bearing "Who is Muhammad?" Throughout Jacksonville. Reaching out to more than 500,000 people a week, the campaign aims to respond questions about the faith through its hotline. Muhammad Ilyas, the regional president of the ICNA said the volunteers received thousands of calls since the erection of billboards last month. "I think if we change our criteria on how we judge people is how we achieve justice, "says Ilyas. Similar campaigns have been launched in different cities of the United States, where 80 panels were erected to dispel myths about religion.
