53 percent do not remember Friday Sermon Topic

Jeddah: More than half of the Friday sermon listeners do not remember the about the sermon, according to a recent survey conducted by Aziz Centre for National dialogue king Abdul.
However, over two-thirds of 685 respondents randomly selected from 13 regions of the Kingdom, said sermons had touched their lives.
About 52.4 percent of respondents wanted sermons to focus on social issues, while more than 74 percent said they do not seek guidance prayer leaders, indicating a lack of personal communication between the preachers and their audience.
"about 60.4 percent of participants said they found attractive sermons, while 31.6 percent said the preachers encouraged them to deal with personal and social issues in a way positive, "said the survey.
Ismail Maritheri of King Abdulaziz university, a consultant, trainer and university, stressed the importance of Friday sermons in the evolution of society and renew spiritual energy. he said the results of the survey highlighted the need to train spiritual leaders to deliver sermons more attractive to attract people.
"There must be an element of information and enlightenment and methods conducive to personal, social and family, "said Maritheri Arab News.
