Muslim scholars of West Africa, Middle East, Registration Fight against extremism
Nouakchott: Some 1,500 Islamic scholars of West Africa and the Middle East sent a call to defeat religious extremists. During a four-day conference that ended in Nouakchott, they encouraged young Muslims to follow the example of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) by embracing tolerance and the rejection of extremism.
As Islamic Mauritanian minister said Ahmed Ould Daoud Ahel Affairs in his opening speech, "ideological deviation is still one of the most dangerous diseases that threaten society."

"What we see now in terms of the unprecedented rise of extremism and terrorism, is due to the misinterpretation of the concepts of Islamic law, which is characterized by tolerance, recognition and acceptance of all other religions and communities, "added Ould Ahel Daoud.
murders, wars and tragedies that take place in the name of Islam were mainly due to a misinterpretation of religion, agreed Cheikh Mohamed El Hafedh Ennahoui, head of the conference organizing group in Mauritania.
