Jaipur: A clandestine affair with the powerful mining lobby on a 100-year-old mosque roofless situated on a hill-top at Pur village in the district of Bhilwara Rajasthan led to its demolition. Jindal has a stake, bought by paying money to the mosque Anjuman Committee Pure and demolished the structure of
April 19, 2012 to make way for mining iron ore below. The company produced a receipt for the amount issued by the Anjuman. The incident sent shock waves among Muslims in Rajasthan and highlighted the dubious role of the Wakf Board, which was approached by the Anjuman for "guidance" on the matter.
