Makkah Clock Tower - Second world's tallest building
Makkah: Standing at 1,972 feet (601.07 meters), the Abraj Al-Bait Tower, also known as the Royal Mecca Clock tower, was declared the second highest building in the world by the high buildings of the Council and urban habitat, considered a world authority on supersized skyscrapers. Only Burj Khalifa in Dubai, which is 2,717 feet (828.14 meters) high, beyond the Clock Tower Makkah in height. Makkah Clock Tower already holds several world records. It is the highest clock tower in the world and has the world's largest clock dial. The structure has the second largest floor area of a structure in the world with 16.15 million square feet of floor space, surpassed only by New Century Global Center in Chengdu, China, which has an area of 18.3 million feet square.
